I Give My First Love to You
In his childhood, Takuma is given a diagnosis of a cardiac ailment that requires him to see a cardiologist often. While he is being treated at the hospital, he quickly strikes up a friendship with Mayu, the little daughter of his doctor. Mayu overhears her father discussing Takuma's health one day, and he explains that it is so severe that it is highly unlikely that he will live past the age of 20. However, Takuma is unaware of this fact, and thus when he was just 8 years old, he made a commitment to Mayu that he would marry her when they became 20. Later on in life, Takuma realizes that he will not be able to maintain this vow, and he begins to distance himself from Mayu in the hopes of preventing any harm from coming to her.
