Maggie, a carefree party girl, gets kicked out of the house where she lives for free with her father and stepmother because of her irresponsible behavior. Her sister Rose, a responsible lawyer in Philadelphia, takes her in. After Rose's romantic prospects are ruined as a result of Maggie's behavior, Rose rejects Maggie herself.
