In the City of Dawn

At a batting center, Watabe (Goro Kishitani) happens to have a fortuitous encounter with Nakanishi (Kyoko Fukada), a subordinate worker. A friendship develops, which ultimately results in a passionate love affair. Then, Watabe finds out that Nakanishi is the primary suspect in a murder case that took place 15 years ago; the crime in question was the killing of her father's ex-lover. The time restriction for filing a murder charge has almost run out in that particular case.
