Abel and Henry Iron, fur trappers in the Rocky Mountains, struggle to make a livelihood in a fading industry. They wander the mountains in quest of beaver, eking out a modest existence in the western wilderness, following in their late father's footsteps. When Abel meets a group of Shoshone Indians, a misunderstanding results in one of the Indians being killed and the Iron Brothers being forced to flee. Abel and Henry team together to evade the warriors pursuing them into the mountains. They'll find out in the end whether their brotherhood is strong enough to save them.
