Jade Warrior

In ancient China, a love-struck swordsman battles against his fate. He desires a second chance to be reunited with his loved one, and he receives it in a distant place and time, in the icy north of contemporary Finland. The setting of Jade Warrior is ancient China, the early iron age, and modern Finland. The past is feeding the narrative in the present, gradually exposing our warrior's true origin, his superior abilities, and his destiny. The film Jade Warrior, the first Finnish Kung Fu film, blends Finnish and Chinese myths. Jade Warrior is a tribute to the Kung Fu genre that is heavily seasoned with a completely original take on the Finnish national epic Kalevala. Like Kalevala Jade Warrior is a pure melodrama.
