After missing his son's karate exhibition and hearing that all he wants for Christmas is an action figure of his television hero, Howard Langston, a salesman for a mattress firm, tries desperately to make amends with his son. Unfortunately for Howard, it is Christmas Eve, and every store has sold out of Turbo Man action figures; therefore, he must travel throughout the city and compete with everyone else to find a Turbo Man action figure.
