Kaufman's Game follows Stanley, an unemployed young man with a burning desire to develop his strength and stamina via boxing. When a stranger approaches him outside the gym with the promise of a specially formulated steroid, Stanley is dragged into the increasingly violent operations of a powerful organization, unintentionally undergoing a series of tests designed to demonstrate his mettle. This is a film about strength, determination, and self-destruction. It pays homage to traditional Film Noir stereotypes and Franz Kafka's dark, conspiratorial storytelling approach, but with a minimalist design.
