Kundun
The Tibetans address the Dalai Lama as 'Kundun,' which translates as 'The Presence.' When communist China invaded Tibet and imposed an oppressive regime on the peaceful nation, he was forced to flee. The Dalai Lama fled to India in 1959 and has lived in exile in Dharamsala since then.
