Lamb, based on Bonnie Nadzam's novel, chronicles David Lamb's self-discovery in the weeks following the dissolution of his marriage and the death of his father. In an attempt to re-establish his trust in his own goodness, he focuses on Tommie, an awkward and unpopular eleven-year-old girl. Lamb is convinced that he can help her avoid a life of apathy and emptiness and plans a road trip from Chicago to the Rockies to introduce her to the beauty of the mountain wilderness.
