L'Atalante
When Juliette and barge captain Jean finally tie the knot after a frenzied courtship, she moves onboard his boat, the L'Atalante, where she begins to live with him and his family. As they make their way down the Seine, Jean grows tired of Juliette's flirtations with his all-male crew, while Juliette yearns to get away from the monotony of the boat and experience the excitement of a major metropolitan area. She escapes to Paris by herself, leading her husband to believe that their marriage was a mistake.
