Lemon Tree
Salma Zidane, a widow, subsists on her lemon orchard in occupied land in the West Bank. The Israeli defense minister and his wife are relocating next door, causing the Secret Service to request the removal of the trees for security reasons. Salma, a stoic woman, seeks help from the Palestinian Authority, the Israeli army, and a young lawyer named Ziad Daud who accepts the case. Does David have a chance against Goliath in this allegory?
