Ley Lines
The story complies with a trio of Japanese young people of Chinese descent who escape their semi-rural upbringing and relocate to Shinjuku, Tokyo, where they befriend a troubled Shanghai woman of the street and drop foul of a neighborhood criminal activity organization. Like many of Miike's jobs, the movie examines the underbelly of decent Japanese society and also the troubles of assimilation encountered by non-ethnically Japanese individuals in Japan.
