Life in the Doghouse

A book called Life in the Doghouse tells the story of Danny and Ron's Rescue, a dog rescue center. Ron Danta and Danny Robertshaw, who have been inseparable since childhood, started the organization. After Hurricane Katrina left thousands of dogs stranded and abandoned, the two men were moved to help. The two men set up a makeshift dog sanctuary in their house. Ten years later, they have taken in and cared for more than 10,000 of these cute little dogs and cats.
