With three kids, Bela and Jota are Portuguese and live on the outskirts of London. They struggle to make ends meet. It gets bad when their deaf daughter gets into trouble at school. The British social services are worried about the safety of their children. The film shows how these immigrant parents fight against the law to keep their family together.
