Long Goodbye
The narrative of Avery and Matthew is told in "Nevermind Goodbye." Two lonely strangers who begin to take consolation in a fantasy connection with one another that does not exist begin to fall in love with one other. They are unable to communicate with one another because they are too immersed in their imagination. Instead, they struggle to form relationships with other people, only to discover that reality cannot defeat fantasy. They are both compelled to confront their problems as truth and fantasy intersect.
