When Margaret Rockland returns to her childhood suburb of Washington DC for a reunion, she is as depressed as the ubiquitous Christmas songs are happy. Her wild childhood friends have settled into respectable family life. Her ex-boyfriend is engaged to the East Coast's most bourgeois blonde. Janet retaliates with a drug and alcohol binge.
