Love in Moreno Valley

James comes from MoVal, a multi-cultural suburb in California. He plays guitar in his room and hides from his emotionally unstable single father, who is obsessed with fantasy baseball and has a romantic life. At Vista Christian High School, James is reunited with his friend, Abe, a wild child who draws a lot of attention to himself and James, much to the annoyance of their odd, strict principal, Mr. Durante. With Carla in mind, James is working on making her fall in love with him. Abe's crazy antics are hurting his chances. Even worse for the two of them is when Principal Durante punishes them by making them perform each week's chapel service.
