Man on the Roof

While in the hospital, a police officer is killed with a bayonet by another cop. It is discovered by the investigation team, which is led by Martin Beck, that the man had repeatedly abused suspects and civilians, but that any accusations had gone unheard because of the mistaken allegiance of his colleagues. As a result of the killer's violent mental state, Beck must act rapidly to resolve the case before additional people are injured.
