Marriage Italian Style

During an allied airstrike in Naples, the wolf businessman Domenico Soriano encounters the seventeen year old whore Filumena Marturano. They meet by coincidence two years later, in the postwar period, and begin a long affair. Filumena, his mistress for twenty-two years, runs his shops in Naples while Domenico is away. When Domenico decides to marry his bakery's young cashier, Filumena seduces him as if she were dying. He later annuls their marriage, and she reveals that she covertly reared three sons, one of them is his legal son. Domenico, a middle-aged man, employs several ruses to find his son.
