Ming of Harlem: Twenty One Storeys in the Air
This is a true story about Ming, Al, and Antoine Yates, who lived in a high-rise social housing apartment at the Drew-Hamilton complex in Harlem until2003, when word of their living prompted a public outrage and collective disbelief. Their story took on a new dimension when Ming was shown to be a 500-pound Tiger and Al a seven-foot alligator. Predators Ming and Al are studied poetically in the film, along with a passage by philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy.
