Chris has recently relocated to the East Coast, and his workaholic father is already pressing him to meet new people. Fortunately, football (soccer) practice begins, and Chris meets a handful of the team's members, including his adorable neighbor Mara. Chris accepts Mara's invitation to assist in the liberation of some abused animals from the local fair. They make their way to the fair that evening but are apprehended by ringleader Malick, who chases them off the premises. Chris is unaware Momo, a sweet little monkey, has stowed away in his rucksack until the following morning. Not wishing to return Momo to Malick's ravenous grasp, Chris must devise a method of concealing him. However, handling a monkey has a number of benefits: Mara spends a lot of time with Chris, and Momo even lends Chris a hand on the football field. Chris' summer is certain to be jam-packed with monkey business, but will it be enough to drive him insane?
