Brooke Emerson, a 17-year-old girl who is both pretty and popular, is the dream of her classmates and even some of them. As though she had it all, Brooke has never felt so lost. Since last year, when she hurt her head during a cheerleading stunt, she has had a disorder that makes her go into rages that she can't control and sometimes get violent. As hard as she tries to keep it together, she is in danger of ruining her life. Because Jake is so handsome and charismatic, Brooke doesn't know what to make of him until she meets him. She doesn't know what to do with herself until she meets him. With all that romance, she can't help but think there's something wrong with them.
