A virulent virus has infected the entire human population, transforming its members into...something else. After a quick introduction (and a messy hit-and-run), we meet an ambulance and its four passengers. Together with two police officers, Sonia (Helene de Fougerolles) and Marco (Francis Renaud) are riding in a car. As they go to a fictional research center named NOAH that is said to be infection-free and working on a cure, tensions mount between them, and Sonia and Marco are forced to seek refuge in an abandoned structure. She appears to be immune to the virus, is pregnant, and is in love... And she realizes he has been contaminated. Her love for him prevents her from giving up seeking a cure, so she sets out to endure the onslaught of infected, attacks from still-human marauders, and the mounting threat posed by the father of her child.
