New York, New York
When the film opens in1994, Lu Tu (Ethan Juan) is the youngest concierge in the history of a five-star Chinese hotel; brilliant, loyal, and truthful, he is well-liked by his coworkers and admired by his bosses. In the wake of an invitation to oversee a new hotel in New York City, everyone around him looks to take advantage of the opportunity, including a love interest (Du Juan) who may not be as trustworthy as she appears.
