Odette
Odette Sansom, a Special Operations Executive spy from France, was kidnapped by the Germans in 1943, sentenced to death and executed at Ravensbrück prison camp. Even so, she survived WWII and testified against the jail guards during the Hamburg Ravensbrück Trials. She was the first and only woman to win the George Cross while still alive in 1946.
