Life goes on as regular in Australia in1964, when a nuclear war wipes out the northern hemisphere, and an American submarine finds a temporary shelter there. With his heart broken after the loss of his wife and children, American Captain Towers encounters the beautiful and careworn Moira Davidson and begins to feel the same way about him.
