When psychedelic drugs first came out, the Brotherhood of Eternal Love was the world's biggest supplier of them. It was made up of surfers and hippies in Southern California who were very spiritual and took psychedelic drugs to help them get high. This unlikely band of free-spirited idealists quickly turned into a drug-smuggling empire and, at the same time, they invented the modern illegal drug trade. They were bonded by their desire to fight social injustice and spread peace. Those who are at the top of the Brotherhood, and the heart of this story, are the anti-capitalist husband and wife team. They made it their goal to change the world through LSD.
