Othello
When Othello, a Moorish general, and Desdemona, Senator Brabantio's daughter, are planning a secret marriage, her old suitor Roderigo takes it hard. As a result of his alliance with Iago, who harbors his own animus toward Othello, the two work together to bring the king to his knees. Desdemona's unfaithfulness is planted as evidence in their second scheme, after their initial attempt to get him accused of witchcraft fails.
