Peyton Place
Constance McKenzie, a shopkeeper in the outwardly respectable New England community of Peyton Place, tries to make amends for a past indiscretion that resulted in her illegitimate daughter Allison by adopting a chaste, prudish attitude toward all things sexual. Constance can't help but be drawn to handsome new teacher Michael Rossi, despite her reservations. Meanwhile, Allison, who aspires to be as free-spirited and carefree as the town's "fast girl" Betty Anderson, falls deeply in love with mixed-up mama's boy Norman Page.
