Travis blames himself for his parents' suicide since he was powerless to stop a burglar from stealing his father's meager nest money. With the help of his equally conflicted brother, Michael, he transforms as a priest and runs a highway confessional where he gives wise counsel to those who seek it and merciless punishment to those who refuse to repent of their crimes. Mary Francis, a disturbed young woman with psychopathic tendencies, enters the realm of this adversarial couple and kills a robber who threatens to expose the extremely unholy siblings.
