Gummi and Kiddi live together in a quiet valley in Iceland. They take care of their sheep. Their ancestral sheep stock is thought to be one of the best in the country, and the two brothers are often given awards for their prized rams, which are descendants of a long-running family lineage. The two people, Gummi and Kiddi, haven't talked to each other in 40 years. They live on the same land and have the same way of life. When Kiddi's sheep become infected with a lethal disease, the whole valley is at risk. The authorities decide to kill all the animals in the area in order to stop the spread of the virus. But Gummi and Kiddi don't give up so easily. Each brother tries to keep the disaster from happening in his own way: Kiddi with his rifle and Gummi with his brains.
