RISE
Rise is based on the true story of a young nurse, Will McIntyre, who loses his freedom when a one-night stand results in a rape conviction. Regardless of his innocence, he is convicted at trial. We are transported to a maximum security jail, where Will's fortitude and struggle to make sense of it all have a beneficial effect on Jimmy Cove, a hardened inmate famed for a run of armed robberies. Meanwhile, Julie Nile, a Queen's Counsel Barrister, is pressed to jeopardize her reputation and salary in order to prove his innocence.
