Chanticleer is a naive farm rooster that believes that his crows have the ability to actually cause the sun to rise and shine. In embarrassment, Chanticleer flees the farm and goes on to pursue a career as a rock 'n' roll singer after the sun fails to rise one morning while Chanticleer is absent. However, while he is away, a nasty, sun-hating owl is preparing to take over the reins.
