Rule Number One

After being wounded in a gunfight, Rookie Sergeant Lee is transferred to the "Miscellaneous Affairs Department," which has a questionable ring to it (MAD). There, he is assigned to work alongside Inspector Wong, a cynical and drunken veteran who explains that MAD's job is to respond to calls involving the supernatural. Wong breaks out the first rule of MAD, which is that there are no ghosts. There is a scientific and rational explanation for every phenomenon that appears to defy explanation, despite appearances to the contrary.
