Saving Mbango
It's about a young child (John) who becomes the breadwinner of a chaotic household. His turbulent family history hinders his hopes and ambitions. John falls for Mbango, a country girl whose problems dwarf John's. John's world becomes even more tumultuous. He's divided between controlling his crazy family and saving his soulmate. He is constantly harassed by his aggressive and alcoholic father, reckless older brother, and cruel unmarried sisters. This film is directed by Nkanya Nwai and shot in Mondoni, a rural hamlet in the South West area of Cameroon.
