Four black women, all of whom have suffered from a lack of money and at the hands of the majority, decide to rob banks. While they were initially successful, a police officer who was involved in the shooting of one of the women's brothers is now on their tail. As the women add to the loot, their tastes and interests shift, and their suspicions of one another grow as they approach the climactic robbery.
