Shanghai Grand
As the movie opens, there are lots of gangsters. It is set in Shanghai during World War II. On the beach near Shanghai, Hsu Wen-Chiang is washed up. His story starts there. In Ting Lik, a kind beggar, Feng Ching-Ching is in love with Ting Lik. In no time at all, Ting Lik is one of the city's most powerful gangsters. His friend, Hsu, is always there for him. He uses his own strength to get back at the people who tried to kill him a long time ago. A lot of the movie's later parts are about Feng, who had a relationship with Hsu when he was on the run in northern China many years ago. After meeting by chance in the present, Hsu and Feng resume their relationship until Hsu finds out Feng's father is one of his enemies. He kills him and then they can start over again. With so much sadness, Feng goes crazy. Ting finds out and vows to kill Hsu.
