Scott Collins, a troublemaker in his class, has a weird psychic connection with a skull at the local museum on a school trip. As soon as he looks at the skull, he can see how his grandmother will die. No one believes him. They just think it's one of his stories. It turns out that when his grandmother died, his younger sister was shocked to find out that her brother's premonition was correct. All of Scott's parents are out of work and their house is on the verge of being foreclosed, so he convinces his family to work as caretakers for a large Victorian house in the country. As soon as they arrive at his home, Trelawney meets them. He's a normal-looking man, except for one thing: He can talk to Scott telepathically. It doesn't take long for Scott to figure out that the cursed skull holds the key to their futures.
