Sobibor
The film is based on a true story from 1943 at the German-occupied Sobibor concentration camp. The movie's protagonist is Soviet-Jewish officer Alexander Pechersky. In October 1943, he was sent to Sobibor, where Jews were gassed. Alexander planned an international prisoner rebellion in under 3 weeks. This was the only successful insurrection during the war, leading to the greatest concentration camp escape.
