A year after the first Stargate mission, an alien that looks like Ra comes out of the Stargate and kills five soldiers and takes another hostage. In order to figure out how Ra could be alive, a new team is put together, with some old members. They search for the missing soldier to find out how. All this time, the aliens Gou'ald kidnap Skaara and Sha're. Then, they implant them with symbiotes and become their "hosts."
