Starred Up
Eric, a 19-year-old who is arrogant and ultra-violent, gets transported to the same adult jail institution as his estranged father before he has a chance to serve his sentence. The volunteer psychotherapist who runs an anger management group for prisoners approaches Eric as his explosive temper quickly makes him enemies among both prison authorities and fellow inmates — and his already volatile relationship with his father is pushed to the brink of breaking point — and offers to help him with his anger management problems. Angry at his father for not protecting him and instead joining in his punishment, Eric finds himself in a fight for his life, torn between gang politics, prison corruption, and a glimpse of hope for a brighter future.
