Andie, a rebellious street dancer, transfers to the prestigious Maryland School of the Arts, where she finds herself battling to fit in while simultaneously wanting to hold onto her former life. When she teams up with the most popular dancer at her school, Chase, she forms a group with other students who are considered to be social outcasts with the intention of competing in an underground dance competition called The Streets in Baltimore.
