Strangled
A psycho-thriller set in Hungary in the 1960s is based on real-life events. In the small town of Martfü, there are a lot of horrible murders. A psychotic killer is on the loose, killing young women as an innocent man is wrongly accused and sentenced to prison for crimes he didn't even know he had done. When a detective shows up, he or she is determined to solve the case, and he or she is under a lot of pressure from the prosecutor to see the man hang. Social, political, and psychological life in socialist Hungary was suffocating. Soon, we find ourselves caught in a web of complicated conspiracy and disturbing drama that we can't get out of.
