Straw Dogs
Amy, an Englishwoman, marries the mild-mannered American academic David Sumner. David and his wife relocate to Amy's hometown in rural Cornwall in order to escape the frantic pace of life in the United States. There, David is shunned by the village's rude men, including Amy's ex-lover Charlie. Amy is raped by two of the locals after the taunts intensify. David's frighteningly aggressive side is awoken by this sexual assault.
