Mungo Morrison, a young mole, will soon join his proud father in his hometown's famed gold mine. In the mine, Mungo secretly dreams of becoming a professional footballer. Mungo, a little mole who cannot play football in bright light, resigns himself to a life as a miner. When a mysterious catastrophe forces the mine to close, a ruthless supervillain known only as ‘The Boss' seeks to coerce the townspeople into selling it to him. Mungo embarks on an epic journey of thrills, comedy, action and peril as he races towards the Wild Cup football finals in Russia and a final, dramatic clash with ‘The Boss.'
