Aliens left on Earth 16 years ago gave these five puppies amazing powers and they join Captain Canine in his war against the wicked Darkon alien Commander Drex. Captain Canine, from the planet Inspiron, commands the spaceship Megasis. He is Commander Drex's deadly adversary. Protecting Princess Jorala and the Five Power Rings from Drex, Megasis hides the rings on Earth as a German Shepherd, planning to keep deep cover. Captain Canine, christened by promising young comic book artist Ian Shaeffer, spends 16 happy years on Earth, telling Ian of his galactic experiences. Commander Drex is returning to Earth, and this time he's determined to succeed.
