Sophie Malaterre, a fashion designer who is unemployed, is shown a website called switch.com in Montreal. There, you can trade homes with a stranger so that you can go on vacation with them. Sophie is looking for an apartment in Paris near the Eiffel Tower that is owned by Bénédicte Serteaux. They move to a new apartment together as a group. Sophie will arrive in Paris on Saturday. There are police in the apartment the next morning. They break in and arrest Sophie while she is taking a bath. Detective Damien Forgeat thinks that Sophie is Bénédicte and tries to get her to tell him about her life. She learns that a beheaded body was found in her room and that all evidence of her life has been erased.
