Two million fish werehed up on the beach. One thousand blackbirds fell from the sky. On July 4, 2009, a deadly threat hit the small seaside town of Claridge, Maryland, but the scary story of what happened that Fourth of July has never been told—until now. The authorities thought they had buried the truth about the tragedy that killed over 700 people. Now, three years later, a reporter has come out with video that shows the cover-up and an unthinkable killer: a mysterious parasitic outbreak. The Bay takes place over 24 hours and is told from the point of view of those who were there and saw what happened. This is done through people's iPhones, Androids, 911 calls, webcams, and anything else that could be used to document the nightmare in Claridge. What comes next is a nerve-wracking story about a small town that is thrown into total terror.
