Nick Chapman, a recent film school graduate who wants to make the most of the fact that his student film won a national award, is trying to get to Hollywood. Allen Habel, a studio executive, offers Nick a dream deal to make his first feature film, but once production starts, corporate reality starts to get in the way. Nick can't stop a series of compromises to his high-minded vision, and it's all he can do to stay true to himself in the midst of filmmaking chaos.
