The four-inch-tall Clock family covertly lives in the same house as the normal-sized Lender family, "borrowing" stuff such as thread, safety pins, batteries, and food leftovers. Their tranquil coexistence is disrupted, however, when the villainous lawyer Ocious P. Potter steals the will providing title to the property, which he intends to demolish in order to develop apartments. The Lenders are compelled to relocate, and the Clocks are exposed to the normal-sized world.
